I have a question for you sr 77 if you dont mind.. I have a cobra sidewinder and have not had it for to long. how has your pins been breaking? cuz i have kinda grown fond of my sight.

How on earth are you breaking the pins? I had the Sidewinder LX sight forever and never broke a pin.

I say "had" because I replaced it with the Cobra Sidewinder Sure-Loc sight.....because of the "upgraded" micro adjustments the newer model has. The dovetail slide is also about 2 inches longer on the sure-loc version.

Never had any pin breakage problems.

Probably because you don't hunt in very brushy country. With the fiber optic wire sticking so far from the pin it's easy for brush to get in and break it off. I lost at least one pin every day I hunted with the Sidewinder but hunting here involves a 2000' climb through alder, chest high grass and salmonberry thickets every outing, and then a descent through the same again, often in the dark.
