Sonics or Liberty Broadheads?
Anybody used the Sonic or Liberty by American Broadhead Co?
Do they stand up to bone, thick tissue? I like the cut on contact as opposed to the "hole-punch" typebroadheads (my preference).
Any feedback?

RE: Sonics or Liberty Broadheads?
Set my dad up with the sonic 85 grain heads last year. He shot a big bodied 8 pointer that field dressed 235lbs. The shot was about 35 yards and the buck was quartering away. The arrow entered around the last or second to last rib and stopped on the off side leg bone. After finding the broadhead still inside the deer we noticed the tips of each blade fore seperated from eachother and slightly rolled back almost like a bullet trying to expand. I wasnt impressed. Dont get me wrong the broadhead did its job the buck only went about 80 yards and dropped, andthe headheld together but I wouldnt really expect it to be good at breaking bone if the blades roll back like they did. One other thing we noticed was assembling them that some of the blades didnt want to fit flush together at the tip.

I had good luck with the sonic heads they fly true and make a nasty hole. The big ole blade on the liberty OPENs up a monster hole , devestating anything hit with it , but the large blade surface creates a lot of planing imo , I had trouble tuning them to hit consistantly.

I switched to the Sonics last year and shot a spike with it. Ran about 40 yards and dropped. Very penetrating head. They fly exactly like feel tips. But I will agree with PassThru79, the blades didnt fit flush with the head, or else you have a hard time getting them to.
