Toilet Paper!!!!
My sock supply was starting to run low...TP is a much cheaper option.

The contents of my pack varies with the species being hunted, as well as the season, weather, current mood, money supply, etc, etc.

What I generally carry:

1 good sharp knife
1 Small compact bone saw (makes life easier than the old days)
2-3 Bowhanger hooks (screw in type)
1 pull rope
1 Rangefinder(doubles as my binocs sinceit's 8x)
Grunt call, rarely used, but just in case.
Various scents, cover and attractant alike.
Zip-lock bag with UNSCENTED BABY WIPES (great for taking of face paint, cleaning blood off your hands, and making sure you make it home with socks and shirt-tails intact)
My bow
My climbing treestand
And never leave home without a small hand-pruner. Great for "cleaning" up a tree, and also great for building ground blinds!!!!!

And most of this stuff just fits in my various pockets, no pack needed.

Man, I feel like I'm carrying a ton into the woods! When I go though I'm on stand all day and not just for a few hours. Let me open the pack up and start pulling crap out and we'll see what we come up with;

Two knives.
One small folding bone saw.
One small pair of pruning clippers.
One pair extra socks.
One pair lightweight gloves.
Headnet.
Fleece balaclava.
H.S. Scent A-Way Deoderant.
One Mini-Mag flashlight.
Extra batteries.
Toilet paper.
Two extra tree steps.

Whoo! Think I'm done? No way. That was just the bottom portion of the pack. Let move to the top now.

H.S. Original Spray.
Scent Shield White Lightning Scent Eliminator.
Fitzgerald Hoss Buck Brand Deer Dander.
Pete Rickards Love Potion.
H.S. True Talker.
Primos "The Can."
Primos Power Buck & Dow gunt tube.
M.A.D. Buck Growl.
One small pair binoculars.
Rangefinder.
Thermacell.
Book.

Still think I'm done? Lets try the side compartments.

Four tubes camo face paint. [Green, Brown, Black, Grey]
20' Orange Flagging tape.
Handheld radio [walkie-talkie].
Wet stone.
Compass.
Extra release.
Small first-aid kit.

Alright, now I'm done.

Edit* I forgot to add I usually throw in a couple PB&J sandwiches, a candy bar or two, a bottle of gatorade, and some water.
