I have a Summit Copperhead hangonand no matter what I do to it, I can't get it to be quiet when it is cold out.It creaks and pops. I have tried lubricating the bolts and washers and it still won't be quiet in the cold. Warm weather it is a great stand. The Lone Wolf is extremely lightweight(12.5 lbs), is easy to hang, quiet and noise free, and is so strong it is rated for 350 #'s where most hangons are only rated for 300#. I only weigh 210 but that is still saying something for their strength. Summit makes some great stands and from what I can see in pics now, they have redesigned this Copperhead that I own. I bought mine the 1st year it came out which was 3-4 years ago.

Lone Wolf uses the wording,"Your silent partner" and they are.I get no sponsorship fromthem and am not pimping their product because they pay me, they are just a great stand.

I also don't like the commercialism or the fact that a lot of what you see would be considered unethical by most hunters, but I understand that they have to pay the bills. I may not agree with a lot of what they say but I still watch them. They're entertaining and they get me psyched up to hunt.

Different strokes......different folks.....

pigiron, that's about what we all expect. We still do everything else to keep our scent down/away. Yes, you can still get busted wearing the clothes. That shouldn't surprise anyone. Nobody said it was magic. It's just another tool we use. Besides that, its quality made clothing. I would have bought my jacket and pants regardless because they have the exact pockets that I was wanting.
I'm no major proponent of scent-block clothing.....but I own some. In fact....I killed 5 whitetails last year wearing some sort of the garments. Let's leave price out of the equation (which is what this REALLY boils down to). What I REALLY want to know is.......why does it bother some.....that others are wearing something else? WHO CARES if it's scientifically proven, or not? I know I don't. I just know I hunt with these garments on like I hunt with non scent-block garments. I try to play the wind. I store my garments in scent-free environments. I stay as clean as possible. How can you argue with the results? It would be similar to arguing one pattern vs. another. Is one better? Who knows???? Do they both work? YES! is one more expensive? YES! If you're not paying for it, though.......WHY DO YOU CARE?

When everything else is removed........the garment is a piece of camouflage clothing. Will that piece of camouflage clothing work in a hunter's pursuit of killing deer?

We all know the answer to that question.

Why worry about what someone else pays, though.......it's transparent. I wouldn't say Don was crazy to pay the prices he pays for the LW stands. I bought one and hunted out of it twice (sold it to a forum member) because I think it's an inferior product to the stands I use (and not for quality reasons). It doesn't bother me that Don thinks otherwise. It doesn't affect me.

I was so fed-up with the way the hunting industry has gone in-regard to sponsor-driven TV shows and productions that I started my own production company to do my own thing, for hunters like me.......

Wow still going strong 8 pages later. Some like it and believe in it, some don't. All you're nay-saying and all of someone elses praises are not going to change an individuals perception. You guys talk price..I get my Scent-lok stuff on sale after the season and pay much less than you do forone Gray-wolf or Enigma coat alone! I just picked up another Jacket for 39$. Spend your money on what you can justify and I'll do the same... One thing I've never bought and never will..is a DVD of someone else hunting. Why should I spend my money to furnish someone elses "outfitted" hunt?? Prove to me scientifically, how this will help me! Can't?? I cry SNAKE-OIL!!!

Everyone has a right to their opinion(s), this is America with a freedom of speech amendment and this is also a capitalistic society. Free to buy and sell what we choose. It is a choice. Buy or watch what you like and don't what you don't. I don't know that any of the hunting gear available out there makes any of us better hunters. I think what makes us better hunters is the skill we have, the time we take in practicing with our chosen weapon or weapons. And being stealthy. No matter what we are wearing. If we think this product or that product will help us, maybe it will. And maybe only in adding to our confidence. And any hunter needs confidence. Some times it takes trial and error to realize we had the confidence already from the practice we put in, but just needed that extra boost from so and so product. And if we forget to use that product (or choose not to)and get our quarry anyway, hmmm, maybe I really didn't need that product or maybe that product really isn't all it was cracked up to be. Bottom line is, if you have the money, want to spend the money, go for it. But you can't buy skill. It takes work and alot of it. All year long.

Well, if you bought one of our DVD’s you would see a do it yourself hunting DVD! We used only one outfitter in the DVD to hunt Black Bear it is a hunt that is very hard to do yourself! But, we meet the guide and he is a great guy and we paid for the hunt out of our pocket! The fact of the matter is we are in the hole with all the equipment we had to buy (cameras, tripods, microphones, computers, editing software and hundreds of hours of editing and running cameras!) to bring this DVD to you! We do it because we love it and we hope that some day we can make the jump to national T.V. We would not change the way we hunt. We show that not all trophies are 170” deer! We get excited and it shows! Give us a chance you sound like our kind of customer. Thanks
