Blackhawk Bee recurve and Microflite fiberglass arrows tipped with a Bear razorhead. And, yeah, it was a few years ago

My first deer, a yearling that was delicious, was killed with an XI Myles Keller drawing 53#. I ended up killing 14 deer with that bow before I got rid of it. Should have NEVER sold it..I miss that bow alot!

I had a recurve and a Whitetail II hand-me-down, but my first deer came with the PSE Spirit that I posted a picture of on Page 3.First deer wasfawn doe at about 20 yards in 90 or 91. The next year,91 or 92I think, I got this spike. Sorry about the graphic pic - I had to cut its throat. Looking back, I totally had no idea what I was doing out there - just huntin'. I was happier than a pig in mud with that deer.

Right-on man, sounds like your telling my story. Had a whitetail ll, first buck was a spike.(I didn't have to gaff his throat though, but you gotta do what you gotta do)

Man this puts a smile on my face and a tear in my I. In 1988 I had just started a new job and one of my future best friends offered to let me hunt his farm. First day there I was wearing old Air Force jungle camo and grunted a spike in at first light and drove a Thunderhead 125 on a Easton XX75 out of my Clearwater Power Mag (or as I call it now Powerless Mag) through the deer jaw and down through it neck. Not pretty but he only ran 50 yards. I drug him to my buddies house and hung him up and went back up and grunted a 10 point into ten yards and double lunged him and he's on my wall today Sad to say that my buddy died of cancer almost two years ago but everytime that I looke at that deer head on my wall I think of that day.

First deer kill, 7pt buck browning summit Easton XX75's and the thunderhead 125g 60lbs 28in dl. Shot him right in the ass. Just as I shot he turned and I hit the main artery that goes back there and he ran about 40 yrds. It was a sunday afternoon about 75 80 degrees out he was following a doe. Just like it happened yesterday. (15 years ago)
