In TN we can keep getting tags as long as we keep checking the deer-provided you don't go over certain limits. We can take a lot of deer here, though. I'm just now starting to do my small part towards population control.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I can't believe I'm even writing this, but I got every tag I purchased when I bought my license in August! I took 23 days off from work, plus my normal wknd days off, and hunted every stinkin one of them. My season started with early bow in end of Sept. It ends this coming wknd with late Archery or Muzzleloader here in NY. I've been hunting for almost 20yrs, and only went skunked one other time before. I saw a bunch of deer on & off during archery seasons. I did pass on a small doe with a nursing fawn early on, and later a small spike. So I could've, but I don't have any regrets passing them. They'll be more fun next season if survived. I came close few other times during the rut, but no cigar! It just seems strange I haven't taken a deer, and in fact no one in my family has gotten a deer, and my brothers hunt almost as hard as I do. I guess its just the way it goes some yrs. Weather here in Ny didn't make it the best of hunting either later on. I hunted on several rainy days, sleet, snow, freezing rain, and some high winds. I got one last chance this wknd, but my hopes are not very high. But I don't quit until I hear the fat lady singing!!

I still have the 2 that I bought before the bow opener the first weekend of October. We also still have 10 antlerless nuisance permits for the farm where I'm living. I also have permission to hunt some property that falls into one of Ohio's special &quot;urban zones&quot;. I believe I could get 4 special antlerless urban permits for that property. So that makes 16 tags that I could still fill this season. But I don't care, I just want to fill ONE!! I've spent 28 days in the woods so far this year and have seen a ton of deer but few within range. Early in the season I passed up a 10 yard shot at a doe because she had 2 young fawns with her. I think if I see her again soon she'll be in the freezer. I still have until Jan. 31st so I should be able to fill at least one tag by then.

Well let us see, I used one antlerless tag, I still have three either sex tags and if I need more doe tags it is all of two dollars for two, and I can buy all I need.

I've filled one antlerless tag and one archery &quot;any deer&quot; tag so currently I still have one antlerless tag left. However I'm debating on picking up another archery or Mz &quot;any deer&quot; tag just in case a buck walks by. Bow and Mz season ends at the end of the year and there is a late rifle season for my antlerless tag if needed. Last year we did go into that late rifle season with three antlerless tags to fill. Fortunately three does were taken the first morning. Both my hunting partners are skunked so I'll be trying my best to assist them in filling their freezer.

I have a couple metro antlerless tags left, would like to fill one of them if possible. But there are 2 others I have left I'd like to fill even more, my non-resident Illinois tags. My buddy and I are headed back down to Pike county on the 26th for a few more days of trying and fill them. Hopefully find a good buck to bring home.
