Default Do You Adjust Your Aim or The Bowsight

So its now officially winter - some days are in the single digits when I hunt, some are in the high 20's low 30's.

I have found that there is a difference in bow performance at this temp range. I noticed no difference in operation when practicing in 100 degrees or 50 degrees. I have found a performance difference when things get really cold however.

In Very cold weather (low teens), the bow shoots 1" low at 20', almost 3" low at 30' and 5" low at 40'.

So - do I adjust the sight, or my aim point?

i am glad you posted this thread. i have the same problem except i am shooting high and about the same measurements as you. but we are not really in the single didgets yet, teens to middle thirtys. could be why i shot over 3 deer this season. what i did was restrict myself to a twenty yard shot for now until i get a chance to change my sights.

I think it has more to do with wearing more clothes, resulting in a different anchor point. Wearing gloves may change where you place your bow hand on the grip. Have you practiced in your hunting clothes? I only wear very thin gloves. I can't "feel" my riser (no grip on mine) in warm gloves. I also found wearing a hat that covered my ears was a problem. I have to pull it up off my ear to get the right anchor point. There alot of things you need to work out, before it gets cold.
