What speed?

RE: What speed?
67lb, 28" draw 370ish grain arrows, 305fps ibo..speed is about 260fps.
going to get my draw legnth checked this year...as well as a new string and 70lb draw..hoping to gain a litttle speed. but only because im going to heavier arrows...i want to maximize KE..not speed. but dont wanna loose huge amounts of speed or ill never see the KE...trying to find the balance and optimize my set up for hunting..

RE: What speed?
Yeah. I am wondering why I am not getting better speed. Its a new bow, so i am going to have to play around with it.
2007 BowTech TomKat
27'' draw with a loop
shooting 357 total grains (easton lightspeeds) (before i put the blazers on. I don't know how much the blazers changed it)
Easton Light Speed 400's are faster than the GoldTip Hunter XTs

RE: What speed?
strutnbps...your loosing speed because of the 27" draw, peep and nock(if you use them) loop etc...anything on the string will take down speed. as well as draw weight..they test bows with a 29 or 30 inch draw(i cant remember) 300 or 350gr arrow(cant remember) and set at 70lb draw. that maximizes speed and gives you really high IBO speeds compared to a bow set up for hunting with stuff on the string, diffrent draws etc...

175#, 20" arrow @ 432 grain, 320 FPS, 98 KE.
Here is a good link to anyone that wants to calculate there KE.
