Default F.P.S. Update on my Drenalin..

As some of you may remember I wasn't impressed with the speed of my new Drenalin when I picked it up.I went if a lighter arrow and some blazers and went from 265 fps to 290 fps. That's something that I can live with.

That's a nice jump. Just be careful to not go too light our you'll lose some KE. What wait did you start at and what are you at now?

what poundage is he pulling. I remember the pro shop owner shooting the bow at the shop just to verify the speed and he got a little more than 320 at about 69 lbs measured at full draw.

switchback, what full draw is will also make an ENORMOUS difference. Much more than a few pounds of draw weight.

I went from a430 grain arrow to 376 grain. I shoot 28.5 inch draw at 70 lbs.

Makes me feel good I'm shooting 410 grains total at 30" and 70# and have yet to chrono but I'm guessing 285-295

Your estimate sounds about right Ken. The extra 1.5" in draw length will make a big difference. Darn short arms.

Your 430 grain arrow is probably better for hunting, although both will kill deer with absolutely no problem so I guess maybe it makes no diff.. If ya like the speed then stick with the lighter arrow.
