That is crazy.
My Uncle arrowed a 152" Whitetail on last day of the season at his place. We skinned it with his Kubota tractor, and put the cape and rack in a bag on platform next to the seat. As he backed the tractor up, the bag slipped from his grip and he ran it over with the tractor. One beam snapped off, but, the taxidermist was able to fix it pretty quick.
He felt good about the kill, but, that kind of ruined for him, so I feel the mixed emotions. I even felt a little sick, as I guess just seeingsomething like that was troubling. Thing is, we caused our pain, that was just plain bad luck.

that would be a wierd moment lol. thats actually not too uncommon when shooting late season deer. figure he would have shed them shortly anyways..
my buddy shot a small buck one year during the season. small half rack. think it was his first buck. his dad grabbed the other horn to drag it and it fell right off. his dad felt bad so he had a taxidermist repair it.
congrats..that sounds like a big ole buck...get some pics for us to drool over!!

congrats on an awesome deer. even though you wont be in the books, atleast you have an awesome story to tell. and with the trail cam pics, the taxidermist will know exactly how wide the rack was.
