What speed will this Vectrix shoot?
OK so the ibo speed rating for the Vectrix is 315 but from my understanding, that'swith a 30 inch draw at 70lbs and a 5 grain per pound arrow.
The Vectrix I'm just about to order will be 27" at 60lbs.
I know that some of you are pretty good with the math so if you could, please give me an estimate first at 300grains then at 400. THANKS!

im shooting a Highlander with an IBO of 305fps set at 28" draw at 67lbs. 378gr arrow(5.64gr/lb) which is a kinda light hunting arrow..i think they say 5.5gp per lb as being the base line for safe(could be wrong) and am shooting that setup at about 260fps.
a 300gr arrow IMO is kinda light for hunting purposes...400 is better..your probably looking at 230-250 fps give or take a few..if this is a hunting bow i wouldnt worry about speed. pick the bow that feels good to you. dont worry about the speed. put the arrow where it needs to be and your draggin a deer.
at 300grs and 240fps your looking at 38ft/lbs of KE..
at 400 and say 230 fps your looking at 47ft/lbs
450 at 225fps your looking at 50ft/lbs
500 at 220fps your looking at close to 54ft/lbs
so you can see why i like a little heavier arrow rather than pure speed. i rather give up a little speed(fractions of a second when your talking hunting distances) to gain a good bit of KE.
in the end its your decision...put the arrow where it needs to be and your draggin. thats the most important part. good luck...

maybe 230s-240s, MAYBE

HeckIhad a Protec shooting a 302 grain arrow 284 fps @ 60#'s.This was only with a 28 1/2" amomeasured draw.
You could expect that and 255 fps with a 400 grain arrow.Atleast my program says it will and the other members on here that I have run numbers foron the Vectrix, were dead on.
Other bows have been off a little but the vectrix is usually dead on.
Maybe there are some that have a Vectrix setup at 27" and we can know for sure.

Or did you mean 250fps for 300gr and 260fps for 400gr?
bingo you got it right but backwards 300 is to light though and 400 are you talking finished arrow weight or weight out of the box?
