This year I will be hunting with the bow quite a bit. I will have days to carry the gun, it has been a season since I took a bird and i am itchy to get one this year but I will have quite a few days afield with the bow only.
This was taken last week on my property in PA. I am sure you guys can see the color of their heads, they are all gobblers. The deer hunting is pretty good, but the turkey hunting is outstanding on this patch............it is common to work 2-3 birds at the same time almost every day there. Last year was a tough year because I only got to hunt about 4 days before I wrecked my car and it took me until the end of season to work that mess out. This year it is my mission to bag one with a bow, and to help APAJaws get his first bird. With any luck I may be able to get some time in the woods w/ Rob if the offer still stands........

I have not taken one either, but I going to try again. I do not have the patients that I have for deer hunting. I was calling last year an about 0930 I decided to throw the towel in a gathered my blind, decoys, chair an bow an started packing out. I was walking down the road an 3 gobblers ran at in front of me about 20 yards away an all I could do was look at them."Imagine that"

No desire to. Took many birds with my gun and missed a few while fall bowhunting for deer. Still no desire. Wasn't as impressed with it when cooked vs. a Butterball! Leg meat is like aircraft cable!

I took my first turkey last year with a bow ,,,can't wait for this season,,will try and get it on video this year ////Good luck to all that chase a long beard with a bow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
