Default Any Day ... Here is the Setup

OK ... I guess my bow should be in anyday. When I first joined HNI, I asked alot of questions as I was "green" to the latest advancements in archery.... so here is how it's lining up ...

Mathews Drenalin (be gentle) 27.5" 70#
Muzzy Zero Effect rest - bought after Greg / MO review, already mailed
Alpine 5 arrow quiver (I like to be able to pop it off in the stand)
Maxima Hunters w/ blazers - have to order (offset or helical? Cheapest place to buy them? Length?)
Black Gold sight - (need to buy - still open to others)
Custom Grip - Thanks Wash!
Rage and Magnus Stinger Broadheads

Cheapest place to buy Blazers is probably online somewhere. I put the 2" on my arrows this year and love them. I would recommend getting the neon yellow color as they really show up against the animal and you can tell very well where the impact was. Buy a Fletch-O-Matic or something similar and put them on yourself. It is easy and nice to do when the weather is bad or when watching a game or something. That way, when you shoot one off when practicing you don't have to go to a shop to fix it. All just my opinion of course. I bought my Blazers from the local shop because I like giving him business even though I know it cost me an extra $2. Sounds like you are going to be ready for business next fall or this spring or whenever. Great set up!

Sounds like a great setup. It's very similar to what I will be setting up.

My Switchback XT is supposed to arrive at the proshop today. Here are my choices so far:

Mathews SB XT 29" 70#
Mathews convrest
Mathews 2 Pc Raisedquiver
Camo Black Gold FlashpointSight w/ Micro pins
RAD Super Deuce 45 Peep in 3/16"
Mini S-Coil Stabilizer

Undecided on the following:
Torqueless grip (need to shoot it first)
If I get the Torqueless Grip, I would also consider a custom string/cable setup to match
Ihad a wrist strap on my old bow but eventually took it off. I might get a braided custom strap
Arrows / Broadheads (I have some Beman ICS 340s with 4" vanes that I can use for now)
Tru-Ball or Carter Release

Another God fearing, Mathews shooting, Natural Born Killer. Welcome to the club. I'm shooting the same bow and rest combo. Have fun with it.
