I would have to agree, other than my bow, it is the most importent thing I take with in the early season.

WORKS WELL i HUNT A LOT OF SWAMPS AND LOV IT. i CAN'T TELL YOU THAT i ALWAYS USE IT BUT i LUV IT.

OK, here's the skinny on the "COMPACT" thermacell. The coverage is exactly the same. The difference being you have to light it with a match. I'd go with the automatic push button model. Their laterns and all products have the same coverage area. It's dictated by the wafer thingy.
