Default Deer checking my tracks

Here's a pic of a doe checking my boot tracks leading to my Cuddeback. They'll do this and back tract to your stands also![]

Speaking of captain obvious.....[&:]

I would have thought they would spook rather than "investigate".....that's interesting.

That is very interesting. I wonder if the fact that there is snow made it difficult for her to get a good smell. Anyway that is a greaat pic. One of the nicest I have seen. Love the snow or frost on her back.

Nice picture Greg, I have also noticed if I freshen a Scrape up after a snow, no matter how clean my boot's are, and evean if I cover my tracks, the next time I come in, there will be deer tracks right up to the bottom of my stand!

I've had a number of deer "track" me to my tree. They are nervous while they do it, but they generally don't spook. With that said, I have never had a mature buck do it. They usually bug out if they catch a whiff of me, which unfortunately has happened more than once. Nice picture Greg, looks dang chilly up there. I think it is really cool how the snow is on top of her back. Amazingly insulated aren't they?
