Don...

Would you show a poor hit? Would you show a writhing deer that dying?

Why do you think no one else does? It's not being "PC" or selling out. It's being RESPONSIBLE! It's showing TACT!

I wouldn't fault you ONE BIT for not showing those things. I believe you're proficient, too. I have no reason to believe you're not.

I think you'd be doing me (read - the bowhunting community)a HUGE disservice to show those things...just because that's the way it happens in the wild. There's areason people don't do it. There's areason people don't shoot lambs like Ted did. They're not ALL selling out.
Once again all you want to do is argue. I have seen three shows this week alone on TV where two poor shots were taken, one was spined and rolled around, the other was a far back shot, and the other was a turkey flopping. If one chooses not to watch this they can change ther channel. Money talks and the states aren't taking away bowhunting as long as there is a dollar to be made. You make your videos the way you want to and I will make mine the way I want to. Enough said, everytime I argue with you, you call your buddy and get my thread locked.

Sorry GUS

My point was......people seem to be accepting of the death part (the picture). They know it's dead.

I'm new to this.....but I know my wife and my boss would accept the photos I have over the ones of me autopsying my deer when I put them on the walls.

Just don't tell me what you do while you're rehashing old times....lol.

Don...I dont know what to say. I'm not arguing with you. I'm expressing an opposing point of view and pointing out why I feel the way I do. When you get to the end of your points.....you go to personal insults.

I wouldn't turn my TV channel if I witnessed a bad shot, either. What WOULD happen....if the shows elected to air a deer writhing to its' death is.....the anti's WOULD get a hold of that one and run like the wind. they've become accepting of what's the industry standard, right now, which DOESN'T show that stuff.

You know this....you just won't admit it.

Some are failing to see my point. My point is that as sportsman we are in tune with nature and we love our sport. Most outdoorsman thatI know are great people and successful in society. With this fact, the act of making sure the peta anti crowd is happy with me as a bowhunter is ridiculous and of no concern to me. They have no money to stop me. Plain and simple. The state of IA and every other state can't afford to side with peta as they need my $$. Economics at its finest.

Don....on the surface it would seem that way.....BUT....I'll ask you, AGAIN...

What happened to dove hunting in MI?

What happened to bear hunting in NJ?

Can it happen, anywhere?

I'm NOT against you, here. I believe we're strong, too.....but all it's gonna take is the wrong politician or the wrong JUDGE (for you lefty - legislate from the bench, types) to see what we hold dear ABOLISHED!

HCH & GMMAT
I agree with both you guys. HCH I would watch any video you made. Whatever happens on the kill wouldn't bother me because I have seen it all. And yes they do show some pretty bad stuff on some of the hunting shows.

GMMAT you are correct that all it takes is the wrong guy on the bench. Look at what happened in California. Mountain Lions eat people a lot out there now!

I disagree. We will always have some arguing with whether a certain species should be hunted due to speciespopulation and peoples belief as to whether it should be called a hunted species. We have tried for years to get a dove season in IA. Bird feeder and bird lovers whined over it and it has not been allowed as it is classified as a songbird. The bear issue sparks alot of peoples blood because of whether feel it a population that is needed to control. and others don't. The season was only open a year, if I remember right, and then closed by the governor. These decisions are not based on bowhunting hunting,or hunting ethics. Furthermore, these actions you speak of had a very small economic impact on hunting license revenue. I still fail to see where anybody can show or prove to me that whether I have blood in a pic, call my kill a kill instead ofa harvest, or whether Ted kills a domesticlamb on a hunting realty show; that these actions are going to affect my right to bowhunt or hunt. That is because it ISN'T.
