That is one heck of a buck, i would be hard pressed to pass on a buck like that, but he does look like a young one and would be a MONSTER in a year or 2.

that is a very impressive buck i don't think i would pass on him,,,looks like the coyotes have eaten well though all though his life was a waste at least they cleaned him up so the meat didnt go to waste[&:]
i found a nice 6 pointer one time when i was shed hunting he nwas in the crotch of a tree looked like he crashed where i found him i couldnt tell how he was killed becouse he was in much of the same decay as this deer but i did keep his rack and skull it all came together since his hide was gone..but anyways thanks for sharing those pics and good luck shed hunting....

As far as the antlers I left them there, we can't pickskulls like that up any more by law. And yes he is young, 2 1/2 yrs old I'd say. The genetics are good here in the midwest and if you shot bucks this size all the time you'd never have a chance at the big boys.
But like you said where your from a deer like that is a shooter, every place is different I guess.
I chose to hold off and shoot his daddy.
