Hunters saftey system.... Smells bad... Give me some help guys.
I bought a hunters safety system vest / safety harness before hunting season this year. I never did use it because it smells pretty strong like paint or something similar.
I washed it a couple times, I even soaked it fora couple days and just today opened the rubbermaid container I have it stored in and it still reeks. I used astko sportwash and dead downwind in my attempts to rid it of the smell.
Give me some ideas how to get rid of this "paint" smell.

get it wet and put it outside and let mother nature take care of it for you, and just think it will smell like the outdoors, all natural nature scent provided by mother nature her self.leave it for a couple of weeks or possibly longer, heck you've got plenty of time befor season starts right lol

I forgot to add I had it hanging on my back porch for the last couple months. I packed it a couple weeks ago because I was moving. Well I just opened the container for the first time since today. I couldn't believe how strong it smelled after all that time outside hanging.

Wash it with some scent killer soap. Air dry it outdoors. When it dries spray down to the point it's wet with some scent killer. Double check that rubbemaid container you store it in. Many times they can stink worse than anything. Plastics do give off an odor. Some more than others. If you're using a prusic rope or something that could be your stink too if it's new. I didn't see your last post before I posted this. From what you describe, I bet it's the container.

I would consider making a batch of that homemade scent killer , and soaking it for a couple of days in a 5 gallon bucket.
