Great pics James, those antlers are a great find as well. Your a lucky man. It's nice that buck is as regular around your cam as he is, must be a local. Since you already had a close encounter with him, I think you'll get another opp again later!

That is the buck you sent me a pm about and i mentioned it would be nice to find his sheds, you did it man, he is a beauty. Heck im still getting pics of racked bucks around here and seeing plenty of them. Question-- did you start looking because the pic tipped you off that they had fallen and how many hours vested before you found them?

I found the sheds only about 50 yards from one of my cams. I wish they were all that easy. Long story short, I've been out of town a few days. I came back home on the 13th and checked my cam about 3:30 in the afternoon on my way back. I got home and saw the picture of the buck that had just recently shed his antlers on the 11th. I studied that picture for about an hour before coming to the conclusion it was the big one that I was after. The idea there was that I had to make sure it was the right buck because I did NOT want to take any chances of running that big buck out of the area. I came to the conclusion it was the deer I was after and went out right away this morning, the 14th. I walked for only about 5 minutes in a direction where atleast 75% of the deer come from and travel out of. After only 5 minutes I said to myself "what are you doing? The buck came from the other direction and you have the pictures to prove it". So I went back to where I believed he came from, according to the pictures and found the sheds almost immediately.
