Default Bow hunting a golf course....

has anyone had the privilage of doing so? I was amazed how many deer I have seen on golf courses, and would image that they do some significant damage, so thought I would ask if anyone has gotten to hunt a golf course. Thanks.

I got a bud who does it and he routinely kills plenty of deer out of there, including several nice bucks.

I have seen some hunting show hunt the golf course I used to play on all the time in Wyoming for antelope. While playing you could get as close as you wanted to the antelope and I am sure it was not a challenge at all. I would not do it if I had the chance, just way too easy.

I have a stand or two around a golf course [8D][:-] I'm thinking of growing biological cloverfairways next year, rows of corn for rough, lining the fairways with apple and oak trees, digging a few more ponds, grow the roughs around the greens up to about 4 feet for some bedding areas. Not sure how my members would take it though.[8D]

I love hunting golf courses. I have access to 4 courses. In fact everytime I've ever played golf, I do more scouting then anything else. Start with the maintance guys because yes the deer really do cause a lot of damge on the course.

Is that because you're always looking for your ball in the woods??[8D]
