Finished up with mixed emotions
I went bowhunting for probably my final time this season on Saturday evening. My dad was convinced we would see some deer, but I was less than optimistic. I hadn't seen a deer from the stand in several weeks, I'd see them coming in or leavig, but not while in the tree.
I got to my tree and set up, hung the bow on the hanger. About 5 minutes later, I see 3 deer making their way to me. I stand and wait for an opportunity to shoot. The first doe walked by me at around 20 yards and stopped. I shot her and she piled up about 30 yards or so away. A little buck that was in the group ran off, but one of the other does hung around. I nocked another arrow and waited for shot. She calmed down and fed to one of my shooting lanes at 25 yards. I drew, settled the pin right behind the shoulder, and MISSED!Shot right under her. That was a humbling moment LOL. She bolted, I got down, collected both my arrows and field dressed my doe. She dressed 97lbs, not a monster by any means, but I filled one of the 3 tags I had already chalked up as tag soup. Season ends Thursday here, and I probably won't make it out again this season.

Perhaps you were still a little jacked from getting the other doe. No matter what, sounds like you should be happy. A clean miss is the best miss possible. The humility will just make you practice more
