Congrats on the fox. Both are greys.
I see a ton in archery season, but I like trying to call them later on in the year. I'm not that good a caller, I should start shooting them with my bow.

Sweet fox man! Yeah, that will be a cool hide. I've always wanted to shoot a fox but haven't gotten the chance yet. Congrats!

Both Grey Fox and the Reds are bigger, at least they have longer legs. Probably weigh more too.

Here's a Red I took a picture of from the treestand. I stopped him and made him look up, he never spooked.

Saddly, no furbearers license, a mere 5 yards.

Both are grays. They are a way more aggressive fox than a red and commonly live in trees. They can scale a tree if it is slightly sloped. My grandpa shot oneoff of a tree limb as the fox was running on it 10 ft off of the ground. They are a timber fox where the red fox lives in open areas more. I caught this one in a snare one time and that little fox was lunging at the end of the snare trying to get me. A red fox just cowers when you walk up to them in a snare or trap. I would fully mount them. They are cool creatures and way more uncommon around here than the redfox.
Here is my gray fox I snared.

Here is a redfox I shot with my bow. Reds are way more red with no gray.
