Default Hunting in Iowa!

I recently purchased a crossbow and I live in Illinois.
If your perfectly healthy here you can't use it!
Anyways I am about an hour awayfrom IL>Iowa border
Its Lawful to take "small Game" in Iowa w/ a crossbow!
I am mainly interested in Varmint/coyote! If anyone would be intrested in me coming out to help control coyote problems I would be greatly appreciative.

[hr]

Any leads or ideas will be greatly appreciated
Thank you,

Where in Iowa would you like to start?. 2 rags I like to read are (put the name of the state here) GAME&FISH, and Fur-Fish-Game. They help and give a starting point in contact information.

I don't know if your familiar with this site, but many here use the "can I help you with your varmint problem" approach to gain deer hunting privileges later. Your kind of like the guy that walks into a bar to rob it. Poor bast#$& doesn't know it's were off duty law enforcement hang out.

Depends where your at.
When i was sevenish my friends dad got 30-sum coyote in one weekend
that was in stockton IL. I'm not claiming to be that good or have that success rate but I know its been done before, And it will be done again hopefully by me.

Davidmil-I've never questioned the numbers of deer you project to harvest,
you shouldn'tjudge my coyote harvesting capabilities
P.sDon't getto searious about my remarks all in fun

Might not get that done, they aren't that thick this year. That is what I have heard and noticed. I wish I could get 10 in a weekend, but getting 1 in a weekend would be more likely.

if you can go out and hunt not trap 10 coyotes in one weekend, ill pay you for your secrets. not saying you cant do it, but just saying thats unheard of. i thought i could kill a bunch before i started trying. its really a hard style of hunting to try and call in a coyote. especially with the 40 yard range of a crossbow compared to a 400 yard .223. good luck either way.
