Transporting your treestand

Transporting your treestand
I was wondering if any of you fellows take your own treestand when hunting out of state? If so, I was wondering how you efficiently store it for baggagetransport and handling. Generally you can only have 2 checked bags. In my situation, I have my main bag and my bow case.
Anythoughts on this would be appreciated.

RE: Transporting your treestand
No way would I fly unless it was over a 35 hour drive one way. Hoytgirl and I travel everywhere by truck as we want our huntingequipment, meat, and trophy to arrive safely at home. Take turns driving with your partner and shut the vehicle off for gas only if time is a factor. Out of North America hunts is a different story of course. Where are you going?
