Step 1: Remove shop's Vectrix off thewall
Step 2: Replace with your Vectrix
Nah, just kidding. I think you are doing the right thing by getting a new string. Its better to be safe than sorry my friend.

When I nicked my cable with a broadhead last month I thought about continuing to use it. 4 strands were cut. I decided it wasn't worth the risk. I ordered a new one from Gibblet, ( it got here really fast!),and put my old factory cable back on. It made me really glad I saved the old one and had purchased a Bowmender press from WWAG.
I guess I shouldn't be playing with sharp things either! Maybe I'll take up rabbit hunting with blunts.

tip #5: even when in canada, a single cam string is not supposed to make a figure 8 around the idler wheel - no matter what nubo tells you.

i can give you tip #2.
do not try enlarging your peep w/ a drill while its on the bow.
there are a few of us on here (me, davec, and a couple others i think)
that could explain in minute detail to you why this is a bad idea.
