Default Do I need my eyes checked?

Please tell me someone else has noticed this because it's starting to annoy me[:-]. Ok so when I'm scanning the woods I'm moving my head lets say from left to right. When I get to as far as I want to look to my right and satisfied I don't see anything, I'll start looking back to my left. Almost EVERYTIME I just start moving my head back to the left, I have to do a double take from where I was just looking because I thought I saw something[:@]. Seems like whenever I move my head to scan a different area this happens. And obviously 99% of the time it's nothing that I "thought" I saw. Anyone else notice this or should I go see an eye doctor?

Ever shot at a deer and missed? If so, it's probably that deer following you around and screwing with your mind. [&:] Or...maybe you just want to see something so bad, you're creating the image in your own mind. Either way...at least you're seeing something...so you think.

You have to lay off the crack, at least while afield. That'll help. [8D]

Seriously though, I think it's your mind playing tricks - you know, at that point when everything looks like a deer.

Sounds like you're on high alert. Nothing wrong with that.

I do the same thing. I also have found myself staring at a stump for over an hour...........waiting for an ear to flicker or a tail to move!....[&:]

LOL!

I catch myself doing the same thing. Frankly, I don't mind doing it. It has helped me out before.

Hunters mirage!

Happens all the time, but if it starts happening too often, try closing your eyes for a little while and listening. Works for me. I'm sure there is a real name for it, but I think sometimes we become visually over stimulated.
