update: gave it a try this morning. The deer were about 30 yards behind this guys house. I jumped what sounded like 3 or 4 deer....young ones by the sound of the snorts...got into the treestand without stopping after they spooked. I am not sure if it was the same group of deer or another but they came back like one at a time in the dark passing by the stand at like 20-30 yards. Then, a first light saw what I assumed was buck headed back to his bed and then 8am, had 3 doe in bow range but passed. Maybe I should get a helicopter to drop me off in my stand....
