To quote you, you said "questionable shot".

Nobody should every take a "questionable shot" regardless of the distance. If the shot is questionable than there is NO SHOT.

And the size of the deer is totally irrelavant. Is it okay to risk wounding a deer just because his antlers are bigger than usual? This logic is absurd.

The decision to shoot should be based on your ability to execute the shot beyond any doubt. The size of the rack does not change your ability to make the shot.Wounding asmall deer is just as bad as wounding a big one.
