Default I must be getting soft in my old age....

I took my brand spankin new Vectrix on it's maiden voyage this evening. I saw 6 deer tonight, which is a great night on this farm. I've hunted that farm for......15 years, I've NEVER seen that many deer in one day there.

Anyway, I digress. I was watching 2 doe at my front, about 80 yards. They were eating any and all browse they could get their chompers onto. Then I heard deer approaching in the ice and snow behind me. I slowly turn to see 4 deer approaching. They are in a collision course with my shooting lanes. Anyway, on 5 seperate occasions, I could have shot any of those 4, at less than 20 yards.

I watched them walk away, my Enigma and Dead Down Wind working perfectly. They circled downwind of me and headed for home. What a great evening it was, but man......what's wrong with me anyway??? Those aren't shots I pass up....

Yes you are getting soft, your belly's falling, arms have extra skin and....LOL

It's not about the kill, that was a great hunt regardless, knowing you could have it most the battle.

I wish I had seen something. It was kinda wierd, not a thing! No cows, no coyotes, no hogs, no squirrels, certainly no deer. I have never had a day like that before. And yes you are getting soft. Or is the freezer full?
