Default OK, what is it?

I have noticed on almost every Hunting show lately, that the Bucks have a large bald spot right between their shoulder blades! What is it from? I mean I'm not new to this sport, I have observed thousands of Deer over the years and never seen this befor. Is it some sort of Mange? Help me out here.

the bald spot is from the legs rubbing against the body whenever they walk/run... dogs have it too.. and i am guessing most other furry creatures have it as well..

JimmyMo, I'm talking about up on the spine, in between the Shoulder Blades, We talking about the same place? This bare spot is right down to the skin.

I have seen this on deer that go underneath fences frequently.

The buck I shot in 2002 had a bald spot running from the shoulder blades to about mid back. This is caused from the deer reaching back with their antlers to scratch their back. They cant reach mid back with their legs.
