I need one with spots on it to complete "My Slam". I'll go high density.

Give me the high population area. I thrive on the thrill of the kill.

It would depend on how full/empty my freezer was at the time of the hunt, and how much time I had to hunt!

10 deer per square mile is low density? Dang, around here that would be considered a honey-hole. I'll take that any day...

Well I am spoiled from hunting high population areas. I really like shooting does, so I would choose the high population area and work my butt off to get the best buck for that area.

I somewhat have this choice in my hunting. I have some places where seeing does is pretty easy, it holds some real nice bucks too. Then I have other spots where there are fewer does, but there is a potential to shoot a true slammer. I bounce between the 2, leaning more towards the higher pop areas.

Still lots of things to consider.

What type of terrain?

Are you saying that these properties are in Saskat. & W. VA, orwere they only examples?

Is this gonna be a "one time" hunt, or are you gonna have access all season long?

Guided/self?

Off the top of my head, I'd say the high populated area.

If it's a one time deal, I'd go with the low populated area.

For me, low population with trophypotential. Seeing lots of deer is great, but it definetely gets frustrating not seeing big deer. When hunting a place with true trophy potential, I find myself to be more alert, whether seeing deer or not. One area I hunt has a good # of deer, but big ones are far between,so I kind of relax on stand a little. I would much rather be tense the whole time!!
