No man's land

RE: No man's land
Shot a doe this year hit it high...never found any blood, just some hair. 2 weeks later I came back to this stand and shot the same doe, this time killing her. I knew it was the same doe b/c she had an entry/exit wound in the exact same spot as the first hit.
She was standing 23 yards on the first shot and was perfectly broadside.
My first year bowhunting, a big ol doe walked out in front of me and I hit her what looked to be a perfect shot. Followed the trail she took for over 300 yards and only found a few small spots of blood.
Both of these deer were complete pass throughs, and the shots looked good.
Is there a black hole? I don't know
