30 years old...first deer!!!!
I got him yesterday afternoon at about 1:40 pm. Sat in the stand all day, got out the PB and J to eat, saw a deer out of the corner of my eye at about 100 yards dropped the PB and J picked up the bow. Watched (what I thought was her) browse and feed her way in close enough, drew and waited, waited, waited, waited, and waited at least 5 minutes for the shot. He quartered away at about 35 yards, I aimed for the exit and let it fly. Heard a loud thump and knew it was shoulder or tree. Watched him run out about 50 yards to the left and went down kicking- bright blood all over the place. Got down to go check 'her' out and it was a button buck. It felt so good I got back up in the stand and waited for his pops to come out. He never did but this guy's twin brother came out and stood broad side in the SAME SPOT where I arrowed this guy. I drew, aimed, and whistled at him and he watched me for about 5 minutes. One for the day was enough. This little button buck was my first and I am certainly very proud of him. All the hard work pays off in the end. Thanks for all the input and advice from you guys and gals on here. Now I will concentrate on his mom or dad.

Congratulations!!!
I was 29 pushing 30 when I finally got my first!
I shotgun hunted hard for deer for 7 years before then. It took picking up the bow that February to break the ice for me! To date I've still shot more deer with a bow than anything else (sgun or muzzleloader).
