Iced out at home. Updated with pics.
Haven't had power or phonessince Thursday night at home because of the ice storm. What a mess!!!! But my wife did get home from the hospital Friday. She had been in since Oct. 24 battling Luekemia. Home to recouperate for a while, then get a bone marrow transplant.
Staying warm by the wood stove and we have a generator we run to power lights and referigator.
Had to update you all from work. No estimate when we will get power back. Still about 250,000 people out.
Power came back on at 4:00 yesterday evening and the phones were on this morning. Here are some pics of the ice. Most of what you see is sleet with about 2inches of snow on top of it. The pictures don't do it justice.

RE: Iced out at home
Man someone just ripped my heart out. I feel for you brother and I hope everything works out for the best! If there is anything I can do please PM me. I'm only a stranger to you once.
God only gives us as much as He knows we can handle. I hope you and your family find the strength.
After work I'm going to give my wife and kids the biggest hugs they've ever had!

I was just thinking about you this morning when I was watching the news. They had said a lot of the St. Louis area was still without power. I figured that is why I hadn't heard from you. Hope all is well and hang in there.

Hope things are getting better for you guys. Man, I am kinda in the same boat Hazcon describe, until we hear stories like yours, we often don't appreciate what we have.
Keep strong and pray hard. Tell your wife I will be praying for her operation as well.
