Default Why can't they predict the weather better?

Well, I WAS going out this morning.

I was up at 4:15am

I took a long, hot shower with scent free soap.

I had a quick breakfast.

I activated a set of handwarmers, got dressed in scent free clothes, tied on my boots and was out the door.

That's when I heard the roaring wind! [:@]

I already had the odds stacked against me - it's a full moon morning and it's the second week of firearms season and I'm using only my bow.

But the wind really put the kabosh on my plans. I turned back around and went back inside.

If the weathermen had predicted the wind, I could have stayed up last night a bit longer and slept in this morning.

They were waaaaay off on the predicted temps too!

It's aggravating.

Seems they got it better years ago before all the advancements in weather predicting.

Weather is a fickle beast with many variables , some of which can't be forseen in advance . The weather forecast is general because they can't predict every little breeze .

20-30 mph windswith gusts up to 40+is not a little breeze when the prediction was 5-10 mph winds.

This was no little breeze. I would still have gone with that. This was a bonafide WINDY morning. They never said a word about any wind at all. I was expecting frost and heard the roaring of the wind when I entered my garage. I expect small variables, but to miss this much wind seems like they screwed up . . . again.

Try living between Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. They rarely get the weather correct around here. Today they forecasted between 1 and 12" of snow. You think they know what their doing? With lake effect snow you never know where it's going to hit.

Also swap your procedure, eat breakfast first then finish anything else you may need to do then shower.
My own little opionion is shower last right before you leave.

Just wondering if you got your forecast from teh weather channel. I've pretty much stopped relying on them. NOAA is much better.

i don't even pay attention to weather forecasts hardly. I always go outside before I go hunting to check out what it's doing and I'll get online and check what it's supposed to do during the day. The problem is you can't really rely on the weather forecast for what's going to happen until the day of the forecast. I know, it's frustrating. I hate it too.
