Quiver always on. Mine is the 2 piece Mathews quiver. No added noise, and not enough added weight to bother me. Luckfully, I'm not always stuck "in a tree stand"

leaving a quiver on, when you can take it off, is like putting a brick on your bow just to make it more heavier.

I never have it on my bow except for when the bow is being pulled up into the tree. Otherswise I have a kwikee bracket on the waist strap of my pack that it sits on when walking. It works well and stays out of the way even in heavy brush unless I walk backwards. When in the tree it gets hung on a limb or tree hook. The weight does indeed affect the balance of the bow and will indeed change point of impact at longer distances unless you fight the natural balance while at full draw which is not going to help you hit anything. You could always add offset weight on the other side though to counterbalance a full quiver.......but I don't like a heavy hunting bow.
