Running to your stand... sounds like deer...
Hey anybody ever try running to your tree stand?
I just read in Peterson's Bowhunting mag. that a guy did it in a hard to get without spooking spot(right next to bedding area). he ran cause he figured that it wouldn't help being quiet(cause it would arouse attention and maybe sound like a predator) so he ran trying to get deer to think it was a doe or doe and buck chasing through the woods. The article said it worked for him, any of you have any luck at it? I got a spot that I want to hunt at night real bad but it would be hard getting in without being heard, i want to try it but wanted you alls opinion first.

Dude, I'm 50. Running is out of the question. But if I eat enough Raisen Bran, I can make some hellacious grunting sounds all the way to my stand![:-]

Yes you should try it. Are you kidding, thats the best ideaI have heard of yet. You will know you got it right when you hear a buck yell out Run Forest Run.

give it a go, just make sure you got a path clear of any sticks that could jab you if you fall or run into them, and make sure your arrows are secure in your quiver. not worth gettin stabbed just to avoid spooking deer. let us know how it works. ive also heard of guys using a walking stick or somethin like that so it sounds like a 3 legged animal and not a 4 legged creature. i wonder if u used 2 walking sticks if it would sound like a 4 legged animal and work just the same
