Thanks PEAK, now I know why I missed it, I was off on vacation hunting myself and with guests I wasn't on much and when I was it was checking the contest threads for entries.

That is an incredible buck and a great story. You had a great outcome but almost didn't. The "recovery" thread pinned to the top of the page may have helped you. The biggest thing I push is to "wait" and you've reiterate that in your story. Great lesson learned and hopefully it aids someone else. If you would, go to the thread at the top and reply with a small reiteration of what you went for and how you should have waited. The water is also a good tip which usually is mentioned in that thread or replies. I appreciate the help when it comes to deer recoveries and anything that aids someone else with a otherwise lost animal is great.

Congrats again on a wonderful animal. I could tell by the pictures that it wasn't an immediate find and I wondered about the story. I'm thankful you brought it back to me.

Thanks PEAKRUT, great buck.

Yeah Peak, there used to be alot of deer back and just west of Fairfield.. now it's all homes. Every piece of land I once hunted is all homes! I'm looking for land near you now in Kenosha and Walworth counties.

Let's do it Peak. I'm looking to find a good farm somewhere within an hour or so... lease or no lease.
