Default My Wifes Buck

With all the talk of gun hunting vs: bow hunting going on I just thought I'd show a pic of my wife and the eight point buck she shot opening day of IL Gun Season.. Great shot and she was so excited for her First buck she started to cry, what a great feeling and this is what it's all about..

He was a little bustedup and wasn't a "monster" but pretty good for her first buck.. We are working on her bow skills but for the time gun is all she can ethically do, and thank goodness she can cuz it'sbeen alot of fun..

She shot him at 25 yards with a 12ga slug, we had a great time.. Wish the pics would have been a bit more close up but that's my fault.

LOL, the doe next to her was me filling a doe tag.. Wasn't really going to since I had already shot several with my bow but this doe was way to interested in what that buck was doing laying out in the field, couldn't resist... Just gave her to a local family that could really use the meat..

Thanks for all the compliments, I'll let her know..

That is really great. Nice buck too. Although I only bowhunt Ill., do they require any blaze orange for gun hunting?
