I've got 3 more tags to fill.....and a family that will take the venison. At some point....I'm gonna have to stop waiting on the buck....and take some more does. I think it would be selfish, otherwise.....PLUS....our deer pop. needs thinning.
3 tags.....4 more weeks of season. I like my chances. I told Rob I might be the only person he knows that COULD tag out in my first week (and I have 6 tags). I just like being out there.....whether I'm shooting, or not. I've let a TON of deer walk, this year. I don't regret any of it.

Germ I feel your Pain. But next monday my pain will end when I can get out and hunt during PA's Gun Season. I'd much rather be archery hunting but I'll take what I can get. I can use my bow during rifle season here in PA but you would almost have to be crazy to do so. It's bad enough out there carrying a gun with the Orange Army marching around in the woods.[8D]

With my one and only PA tag filled, yeah, I'm missing it but our season's been over for over a week now. The only thing left is the lead orange coat season and then late season archery/muzzleloader.
I was fortunate enough to share the woods with SBGobblers in NC which help filled my soul with friendship and hunting for a couple more days. Now, I look forward to spring gobbler season.
I will tag along with my landowner the first day of rifle season but my heart won't be in it like our archery season.
Good luck to those with tags and a good quiet spot, especially Jeff.
