RE: 2 questions...
I'm the opposite of others. Wildlife making a racket perks me up, somethns a come'n. My sister in-law took her fist deer the other day sitting with my brother. Squirrels barked, he looked around and bingo deer walked by, she drilled it.That many scrapes means bucks. Bucks movevery slow checking to see who's there, squirrelspick them up and scream out the alarm. I would sit very still for a good hour. Some'thns out there.

Are there oak trees there or acorns on the ground? Any apple trees?Crabapples?
It is probably too late in the year for acorns or apples to still be around, but this is a place to check out earlier next year. You might want to invest in a game camera or 2. They take alot of the guess work out of figuring these things out.

I only have the cheap Wildviews. The .3 and a 2.0. I don't want to be out too much money if they get stolen.
the .3 doesn't give time or date. I can usually tell by the way the sunlight hits on the foilage if I should be there mourning or late afternoon.
I only get about a week out of the rechargable C batteries.
The rechargables pay for themselves after awhile.
The Stealth 35mms are pretty cheap if you wanted to get one of them and save a bit of money. I had a couple of them, but you end up spending extra money on film and development. They take better photos than the Wildviews.
The Wildviews only have a 15ft flash range compared to the 30ft + of many others.
My only experience is with Stealth 35mm and Wildviews but there are many brands out there. Just get rechargable batteries!

You need to schedule a squirrel hunt. Dead squirrels don't talk.... but they do taste really good, fried up golden brown with a big glob of mashed 'taters on the side.
