Default Has Anyone Tried This?

Was talking to a buddy of mine and we started throwing around the idea to hook up a trail cam at the base of the tree stand and then set the delay between photos to like 5 seconds. Then when the deer walk into the shooting lane, you might be able to get a photo of the kill. Has anyone tried this and does it work?

I watched some deer get their picture taken this year and that would be a very lucky picture.
If the flash goes off or they hear the shutter they usually jump out of their skin. They don't run far but man do they jump. It even scared me a little.

I agree, the odds of it capturing the kill are very unlikely. But if you want to try it, it would be awesome if you captured the shot...

I didn't get the shot but I was able to get a picture of a doe that I shot and she stumbled and piled up in front of a 35mm camera that I had out. I also have a pic of me finding her. Thats was 2 years ago. I had the camera set for 2 mins and the first pic the doe had her almost down on her front legs with a lot of blood coming out of her nose and mouth and then the second of her just laying there then the 3rd was me kneeling down by the deer. It was kind of neat but a little sad at the same time. It took the deer less then 5 mins to expire.
