Rocket Aerohead BuckBlaster 125 question
I have seen these types of heads in the past and really don't know anyone using them. I don't know if I am really interested in them or not but get a little curious sometimes. If you have used these on deer before please share your experiences. Good or bad. Thanks.

RE: Rocket Aerohead BuckBlaster 125 question
I just started using the Hammerheads, the buckblasters look like they will do a heck of a job if you can get decent penetration. I haven't had a chance to use the Hammerheads yet, the only buck I shot this year was with a muzzy.

Bump.
I am really interested in some opinions on this head. I actually ordered a few of them (but not really sure that I'll use them) to see what they actually look like. The mechanical blades on this head are huge 2 3/4 inch diameter. The fixed blades are 1 1/8. The head seems a little bit flimsy to me though as compared to my ussual magnus or Muzzy heads.
I was just wondering what to expect from them. Even if you have not used them before, what would you expect. I am thinking that the supper large diamter would potentially have some deflection problem if they hit bone etc. Or would the blades just break. When I used to use mechanicals years ago, I experienced a lot of blades breaking. That is one of the reasons that I stopped using them. But since this head actually has six blades, having one or two of them break would not be a problem. Even if the mechanicals failed completely, it may not pose a problem. FWIW, my bow setup puts out around 80 KE and my arrows that I would be using are XX75 2419.

RE: Rocket Aerohead BuckBlaster 125 question
The Rockets are awesome mechanicals. I have been using them for about three years and so have my hunting buddies. We have never had a failure and all have resulted in over 20 dead deer. Also they are the top selling mechanical at the Pro shop I work part - time at. Rocket is also a customer friendly company. Hope this helps. If you have any further questions feel free to email me.
