t-bone,

I've been hunting in Pepin county, about 6 miles from Pepin. While I haven't been out as much as I would like, many of my friends have. Last weekend they were everywhere, moving around all day long. No bait to speak of, and no one really using any scent (a few of them were). It's earn a buck where I am. I got the big double, a doe on Friday, and a nice buck on Saturday.

I hunt just outside of Holland on 40 of private land. I have seen alot of deer lately. Most movement has still been towards dawn or dusk with little daytime movement. Seems like the bucks are not responding to calls or scents either. Had four doe under my stand and a nice 8 walked by a approx 50 yards and didnt even care. We did shoot a nice 9 last week though. Will be back out this weekend, and let ya know.

Shot this brute last firday. Im posting two seperate pictures so you can see the size difference between a 140 lb doe and a 240 lb buck.

I saw three P&Y class bucks while hunting Burnett County last weekend. Got one of them. I video taped a 135 class 10 point yesterday in St. Croix county (no buck tag). You're nuts to not be out in the woods right now every possible minute!
