Last weekend didnt see anything untill sunday 15 min before dark. Seen 10pt buck just out of range. Gunted at him did not even flinch, did not speed up or slow down just kept walking. At first i was perty soft and then started to get agressive, nothing. SO hes either deaf or dont care.
Hoping to get out wed. and see if it helps.(NW Illinois)

RE: Iowa, Minn, Ill.
got in stand this morning at 9:00am left at 1:00pm ...nothing. Went back at 2:30pm @ 3:30pm a smaller 6-8 point was chasing a doe across cornfield right bye me. I am hunting thick/treefence row off some timber. They slowed up when they made it into the timber. I used the estrus can call, they turned and came back. The doe came out androunds the end and over right next to ladder. She sniffs around for several minutes, the buck was grunting to her about every 30-40 secs. I was waiting for him to join her...but he wouldn't...[:@] With the breeze perfect, she turns around and looks right at me. Turns and looks away. Then does it again a couple minutes later. She never stomped or bolted. Then she takes a big o'le leak at the bottom of my stand and trots off along timber edge. The buck grunts and follows her from inside the edge. Saw them feeding right before dark.
After she turned to head back I should of taken her. If that buck wouldn't of kept working his way closer I would have. She was a nice size doe.
No harm No foul.
Try it again tomorrow.
