How do you use "the can?"

How do you use "the can?"
I just bought "The Can" after hearing about everyone using it on here. I never used it before and don't know howto use it correctly. The label says to use it 3 or 4 times every 10 to 15 mins. That sounds like alot to me and I know that over calling can be hurtfull. How do you guys and gals think I should use it? I also have a grunt call so what is the best way?

I usually tip it two or three times every 20 minutes or so. I have also use it to get the attention of bucks going away, but only tip once.
The other day I shot a real nice 9 pointer. I believe that he respnded to my use of the can. I tipped it three times just five minutes earlier with does in the area.

I don't tip it much, I blow into the hole. That way I can control the pitch and length of the bleat. I like to make the bleats one and a half times that of the normal time it takes. Blind calling,I alternate the can and grunt tube every 15 minutes or so.

We don't have a very healthy buck/doe ratio where I live.......and therefore the bucks don't have to go looking very hard to find a doe.
MY opinion on a LOT of scents and calling is......I'd only be alerting the deer to my presence. I use a grunt call a LITTLE.....but typically only if I see a deer that is looking like hes NOT going to come my way. Then, I figure, I have nothing to lose.
Just my opinion....and I own a can, too. I just haven't had the luck others claim....or I don't have the correct herd dynamics.

Heard a small doe doing that this wekend she just kept making that sound I heard her for 10 minutes straight It got to the point I hoped she shup up.(lol) When I shot my buck this year he came to the can after I saw him I was not blind calling. Some of my partners have had luck with blind calling and mature deer. All I get in on blind calling is spikes and forks. So use the can which ever ways feels right.
