Hunting the Weather???
I'm able to hunt one day during the week plus my weekends now.I can pick whatever dat that I want to hunt during the week so I figured i'd try to hunt the best day according to the weather.Their is supposed to be a storm moving in sometime this week and was wondering if I should pick a day before or after the storm to hunt?I was also going to look into hunting the cold fronts.Should I hunt food sourcesa day before the cold front or wait until it gets here?Any other suggestions are welcome.
Thanks,
JE

RE: Hunting the Weather???
BamaHuntin,
Deer tend to feed up to 24 hours before a major front coming through, as well as after the front has passed. From my experience, hunting just before a front can be slightly better than after it has passed, but thats' just me. A big thing can be the wind- check the forcast and see when the wind is going to be strongest. I almost never hunt in very strong winds (above 17-20 mph) because I rarely see anything when its windy. Sometimes deer continue feeding through the front, as long asthe conditions aren't too bad. Hope this helps!
