Might I suggest that you save the hooves and have a pair of bow racks made with them. It's a great way to always have a "trophy" from your first deer.

I know the feeling...my first was this year too. It is great when it all finally comes together and it makes a sping/summer of practice and scouting well worth it

Congrats! My first bow and gun kills are still my strongest hunting memories. The problem is, after the first, they don't get any easier! That's why bowhunting is the ultimate!

GeoffM24, congrats on your first deer with a bow. Many of us cut our teeth so to speak on doe. My first deer with a bow, gun for that matter was also a doe, my second, a buck and now almost countless animals later, the first ones never wain in memory. Nice going.

Congrats, you did good, a doe IMO is much harder (even though there seems to be so many more of them than bucks) to harvest than a buck. They are just wiser because they have to raise the fawns. When you harvest a doe you know you did everything right.
