Yup, we used to do it back when it was legal in NY. No feeding deer whatsoever now.

Never heard of doing that before. Sounds pretty interesting. I'm gonna try this in my back yard where we've been having several deer coming through every night.

I'd use the extra chunky in case the deer didn't like it, then I could use it, since it's my favorite

i've used the same way but if the racoon find it before the deer do' you will have trouble they will rip the whole thing down and it will disappear but if the deer find it first they will go through just about anything to get to it!!!
