New Found Confidence..
I bought a new bow this year, after using the same bow since the mid 80's...and shooting about 30 deer with it. It had just run its course.
The first deer I shot with my new bow was a good hit...not great. The deer went about 150yds, and I recovered it just fine.
The second deer...I shot and there was great blood on the arrow, but not a drop on the ground. 6+hrs of looking...and not a freaking drop on the ground. Long story short...deer lost. Second deer I've lost with a bow in 20+yrs.
I shot a buck (small) this past saturday, and the bow is fine...LOL I think that it's all in my mind. The deer was well hit, and was quickly recovered.
It's funny that I feel "less armed" with a new bow than with my 20+yr old bow. LOL Maybe after a couple kills "she" and I will begin to bond as the old bow and I did.

I wouldnt worry about it one bit....I can imagine that the new one is much faster and carries more kinetic energy, just hard to walk away from your "old trusty". Everyone knows that good shot placement is the most important factor in the whole equation... you will be fine....congrats on your recent success!
